ANZACs remembered

Dalby State High School students honoured the ANZAC spirit when they attended the march on Saturday and conducted a service at school on Monday. The service started with a beautiful rendition of Advance Australia Fair sung by year 10 student Catherine Heron who was accompanied by the concert band.

RSL representative, Mr Garth Brownston, spoke to the students about the need to “reflect on our precious freedoms that have been achieved due to the efforts of those who have served our country at war” and especially for those who sacrificed “their tomorrow so that we could have our today”.

The service concluded with an ANZAC tribute played by the woodwind ensemble.
