High School Musical Wraps Up

Dalby State High was bopping to the top this year with our annual school musical being a highly rated success. We threw aside the status quo and everybody was 'breaking free' by the end of thirteen weeks rehearsing for the big week of performances to come. We were counting on you guys to make our hard work pay off and you came through with two of our performance nights full houses.

This year was the start of something new and a bit of an experiment as we had never performed this musical before. Everyone were 'all in this together' with over 100 people working hard over 13 weeks to make this musical happen.

We would like to thank Mrs Ash our director, Mrs Kane our producer, Mrs Williams our backstage coordinator, Mrs Marini for leading our hair and make-up crew,  Miss Harris for choreographing our dances, Mrs Roberts for organising our costumes, Mrs Routley for helping out during rehearsals and Mrs Summerville and the band for providing our music, Mr Kane for organising our sound and lighting, the cast, Mrs Miers and Robert Minchin for taking our photos, crew and dancers for giving up months of their time for rehearsals, the hair and make-up crew for making us look beautiful, the ushers for showing everyone their seats as well as the ticket sale coordinators for making sure everyone had a seat, and all the other various people who helped make this happen.

Thank you everyone that came and saw the musical because without you guys all our efforts would have meant nothing. A special thanks to Mr Wood for getting our 'heads in the game' with awesome warm-ups and Mr Hart for his amazing artwork on our set.

A big thank you to everyone involved in the musical and we look forward to doing it all again next year. Hip Hop Hooray!
