Rugby 7s Win a Fitting Farewell

Dalby SHS has taken out U16 competition of the inaugural Scots PGC Rugby 7s Invitational, providing a fitting farewell to departing coach Jordan Roache.
Initially split into two teams in separate pools, the Maroon team progressed to a semi-final match up versus Downlands. A combined side was chosen for this grudge final and whilst initially outplayed, Dalby SHS came back to win 33 - 7.
The final saw a match up against Concordia College, who convincingly won their semi against Assumption College Warwick. The match was evenly poised at 7 all until the final minute of play when Travis Tate scored to break the deadlock, providing Dalby SHS with the trophy.
Pat Rudd was fittingly named U16 Best and Fairest Player of the Tournament for his stellar effort and leadership over the 5 games.
