QParents

QParents​ is a secure, online portal that has been created by the Department of Education to provide parents of Queensland state school students with 24-hour access to their child's information.

The portal allows you to securely access information about your child and communicate directly with your child's school.

Features of QParents

QParents enables schools to provide parents with digital access to various student data and administrative functions, including:

  • view upcoming events
  • access and provide digital consent
  • view timetables
  • view and update attendance details (including future absences)
  • view and pay invoices
  • access payment history
  • access report cards
  • access enrolment history

​You are also able to update your child's details including address and medical conditions.

Please note: Changes that are submitted through QParents will be reviewed and approved by your child's school before being updated to their management system.

​​Your information and privacy

QParents is a secure portal that uses a range of security measures to protect the integrity and privacy of an account owner's personal data. The QParents privacy statement outlines how your privacy is protected QParents privacy statement  External link.​

The Department of Education has contracted Microsoft to host the QParents app. Your personal information (your username, email and phone number) is stored in Microsoft’s secure data centre in Australia. All personal information is protected using the latest encryption techniques, rendering this information unreadable to unauthorised people. Your student’s information in QParents is collected through school processes such as enrolment and/or recorded by teachers and school staff in the school’s IT system called OneSchool. If you don’t want your student’s information in QParents, contact your student’s school.

Queensland Government agencies are not permitted to disclose your information for marketing, advertising or other purposes.
