Dalby State High School has for many years been a proud supporter and participant in the annual Dalby Relay For Life event. Relay for Life brings the community together to celebrate cancer survivorship, remember loved ones lost and empower teams of families, friends and colleagues to raise money to fight back against cancer.
Students from all year levels join with staff into teams to raise funds in the lead up to the local Relay For Life event.
At the Relay for Life event, teams commit to walking, rolling or running around a track to signify that cancer never rests, so neither do we.
A highlight on the school calendar is the annual Market Day where teams sell a variety of tasty homemade goods to the school community to raise funds to support people affected by cancer, fund research and prevention programs.
Participation in Relay for Life is an opportunity for students to learn compassion and to make a difference all while helping find a cure to cancer.
